From our five locations (Deerlijk, Sint-Gillis-Waas, Ghent, Kortrijk, and Maldegem), we make a difference in recycling every day.
As part of our ongoing professionalization, we are looking to expand our team with the following position:

FOR THE ‘t recupke BRANCH IN KORTRijk

Part-time Multi-Skilled Employee (M/F/X)

You will be responsible for quality control and proper storage of goods (ferrous and non-ferrous), with approximately 75% of your work performed on-site and 25% administrative.

In addition:

• You will welcome, inform, and assist residents and small and medium-sized businesses.
• You will assist with unloading trucks and passenger cars.
• You will inspect the delivered materials for type, quality, and purity.
• You distribute and sort the materials by type and unloading location.
• Use a tablet to record incoming and/or outgoing goods. Make corrections as needed.
• You serve as the point of contact for the weighbridge operator regarding the unloaded materials.
• You are responsible for the maintenance and safety of the site to ensure it remains clean and well-maintained.
• You are comfortable operating a forklift (a plus).
• Are you willing to work according to our recycling center’s hours of operation, as follows: Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM?
• You live in the greater Kortrijk area.

What do we expect from you?

Do you already have some experience as a versatile employee in the ferrous and non-ferrous metals sector, and/or do you simply enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting to work? Then you’re the person we’re looking for!
Do you also possess the following skills?

• You’re hands-on, flexible, and eager to learn.
• You feel at home in an SME with short decision-making chains and a sense of initiative.
• A forklift certificate and a crane operator’s license are a plus but certainly not required.
• You have a strong ability to think logically.
• Customer-friendliness and politeness are second nature to you.
• You have a healthy dose of maturity.
• You are at least 18 years old and speak Dutch fluently.
• You can provide a recent criminal record check.
• Working safely, orderly, and neatly doesn’t faze you.
• Experience in the recycling industry is a plus.

No specific degree is required; however, we expect you to be willing to learn and complete the necessary training.
